Pint of Science Glasgow announce a unique line up of science talks, demonstrations and live experiments that will take place in pubs across the city in May. More than 24 scientists will take to the stage as part of the international, three day Pint of Science festival that will see over 600 science evenings take place in 50 cities across 8 countries around the world.

Pint of Science was the idea of two UK researchers who wanted to host an evening of talks in their local pub for its regulars and some of their colleagues. Some three years later it has spawned the world's largest festival of science public lectures, bringing the latest research to the nation’s favourite locals. Now their ambition is to get the 100% volunteer run initiative running in every city in the world!

Researchers taking part in this year’s festival can be caught speaking at various pubs across the city next month including: Coopers, Waxy O’Connors, The Butterfly and the Pig and Dram. Each evening costs only £3 and will feature a variety of exciting talks. These include the science of sci-fi, life-saving selfies and there may be a lady bringing along some parasites!

Alongside the main talks, each evening will also include a range of fun science related activities including science comedy, fun quizzes, geeky puzzles, engaging stories and other interactive activities.
